The Assistant General Manager (AGM) of our 24-hour animal hospital is responsible for supporting the General Manager in the overall management and operation of the hospital. This role ensures the hospital runs smoothly, provides exceptional patient care, and maintains a high standard of customer service. The AGM will oversee day-to-day activities, manage staff, and ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management:

- Assist the General Manager in daily operations of the hospital.
- Ensure all hospital protocols and procedures are followed.
- Oversee the scheduling and coordination of shifts to ensure 24-hour coverage.
- Ensure the hospital is clean, safe, and well-maintained.

Staff Management:

- Assist in the recruitment, training, and supervision of hospital staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback- Manage staff schedules, including shift changes and time-off requests.
- Foster a positive work environment and address any staff concerns or conflicts.

Customer Service:

- Ensure exceptional customer service is provided to all clients.
- Aids in addressing client complaints and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Compliance and Safety:

- Oversee the implementation of health and safety programs for staff and clients.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Veterinary Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of management experience, preferably in a veterinary or healthcare setting.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of veterinary practices and procedures is a plus.
