Dr. Sarah Barnsley, DVM
Dr. Sarah Barnsley grew up in Saskatoon, SK. She graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan in 2022. After graduating, she moved to Calgary to be closer to the mountains. She lives with her husband, her 2 kitties (Jiji + Cairo) and her husky Ella. In her free time, she enjoys curling up with a good book, or exploring the city for the best food spots – and is happy to share recommendations for both! She also took up tennis lessons in 2025 and considers herself a really serious beginner.
Upon moving to Calgary, Dr. Barnsley worked for at Rocky Ridge Pet Hospital for 3 years. In early 2026 she joined the Paramount team at their Varsity general practice location. She is passionate about preventative care, low stress handling, soft tissue surgery and dentistry. She is a self-proclaimed ‘cat whisperer’ (but also a big dog lover). She is excited to meet and build relationships with the families and pets of the Varsity community!
