Dr. Thomas Hordle MA(Cantab) VetMB MRCVS
Dr. Hordle relocated from London, United Kingdom towards the end of 2025, to join the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Calgary. He graduated from the University of Cambridge, Queen’s Veterinary School Hospital (QVSH) in 2020. Following a year in general practice, he returned to the QVSH for a small animal rotating and anesthesia internship. Dr. Hordle subsequently completed a residency with the European College of Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia, training at several private referral and university hospitals across Europe.
His university clinical home is Paramount 24 Hour Animal Hospital, where he enjoys providing anesthesia services and in-house training to the veterinary team. Dr. Hordle’s key interests include locoregional techniques to optimize patient comfort, and teaching to inspire a passion for veterinary anesthesia in others. Outside of work, he enjoys exploring the outdoors in Alberta and making the most of Calgary’s sunshine - a welcome change from a greyer and rainier UK!
